Floods in Bangkok?

The government, after saying the danger was past for flooding in Bangkok, now admits that at least some areas of the city will be flooded.  We leave tomorrow but are wondering if we’ll make it out without a lot of hassle.  So far some of the outer areas are flooded but not the central city.  Of course many areas are much worse off than we are.  Over three hundred people have already died in the floods and many people have lost their homes and possessions.  When we were on the river yesterday we saw many businesses that were flooded out so the economic losses are mounting up.  Also much of the manufacturing that Thailand does for the computer industry and other electronics has been seriously damaged.  I’ve seen estimates that the country’s GDP will drop by one percent next year because of the flood.   And probably billions for infrastructure repair.
