Leaving the USA

We had an easy drive to Seattle in our rented Kia.  We stayed downtown and walked over the Pike Place Market and along the waterfront.  It is a moody, silvery day with the light over the water very diffuse.  We had dinner at a restaurant named Etta’s which is a lovely place near the water and, of course, reminded us of our beautiful grand-daughter.   Had a very nice dinner, Jim had a shrimp dish and I had a roast chicken with polenta and sauted green beans.  We then walked back to the hotel.  Before we left Seattle we checked out the new building of the Seattle Public Library which has a spectacular view of the water and was a sight recommended by Dennis Herbert.  We just got through security at Sea-Tac airport and are waiting in the lounge until our flight is ready to load.
